Dr Joseph Gerson, PUBLIC ADDRESS: IS NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT POSSIBLE?

Dr Joseph Gerson, is Disarmament Coordinator of the American Friends Service Committee – part of the world-wide Quaker movement. He has long experience working on peace and disarmament, especially in relation to nuclear weapons. His Australian visit will follow a visit to Japan for Hiroshima Day events. He will focus on the challenges facing us in seeking to achieve nuclear disarmament, including the recent United Nations General Assembly decision to adopt a treaty to prohibit nuclear weapons.

Time: 5.30-6.30pm MONDAY 13 AUGUST 2018  (Refreshments available from 5pm).

Place: Philippa Weeks Staff Library, ANU College of Law, Fellows Road, Acton.

Go through to the entrance of the ANU College of Law foyer, head to the back of the foyer to the glass sliding door, walk up one flight of stairs and at the landing, the Philippa Weeks Staff Library is on your right.
