Brilliant speech by Richard Flanagan at the Press Club, 18 April 2018 – ANZAC Day, Indigenous Justice, democracy

If you’ve not read or heard Richard Flanagan’s brilliant address last week to the National Press Club and have the time, it’s very much worth it.  It addresses issues very relevant to Anzac Day, including aboriginal dispossession, our increasing militarism, sending troops overseas to kill and be killed on behalf of foreign powers, and says very firmly we need a parliamentary vote before troops are sent.
