IPAN South-West Regional Victoria peace celebrations on the International Day of Peace 21-22 September.
12 noon, 21st September – Portland. Members of local IPAN South-West Regional Victoria group are meeting at noon in Market Square Gardens in Portland, near the People for Nuclear Disarmament Peace Plaque.
12 noon, Saturday 22 September – Port Fairy, Public Picnic. IPAN South West Vic. is holding a meeting and a Public Peace Picnic in Port Fairy’s Botanical Garden, starting at 12:00 Noon. This will be an opportunity for more people to learn about the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network in our region.
Members of IPAN South-West Victoria group are concerned about the rising threat of nuclear war and the fact that US bases are presently complicit in killing of civilians by drone warfare and will also make us a target in any US war with either China or Russia.
If any musicians or singing groups would like to present a Music for Peace contribution on the day, please let me know. It would be a welcome addition to the activities!
