National Events 16-24 March opposing AUKUS

The $368 billion AUKUS pact between  the military forces of Australia, US and UK was formally announced on 14th February 2023 by Prime Minister Albanese, President Biden and Prime Minister Sunak.  It launched the pathway towards Australia’s acquisition of 8 nuclear powered submarines. Shortly after, the Australian government announced that Australia would spend $368 billion on these nuclear submarines.

To mark this infamous occasion, and to help build a broad people’s movement of opposition to AUKUS, events are being held around Australia during the week of 16 to 24th March.

Nationwide events and rallies are being organised across Australia during 14-24 March to mark the anniversary of the announcement.
